Privacy policy

Last updated October 7, 2026. This policy covers michellewritesandcodes.com and debuggle.michellewritesandcodes.com.

I'm Michelle, and I run Michelle Writes... and Codes by myself. I'm a teacher, so I know how much student and family privacy matters. Here is everything these sites collect, in plain words.

The short version

  • There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no advertising or analytics cookies on these sites.
  • I never sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • The Debuggle "get notified" list stores only your email address, the role you picked (teacher, parent, or school), and the date you signed up.
  • When you buy something, the payment is handled by Stripe. I never see or store your card number.

Browsing the sites

The sites are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical details when your browser asks for a page, such as your IP address and browser type, so it can deliver the page and block attacks. I don't use that information to identify you or follow you around the web. The sites don't set cookies of their own.

The Debuggle "get notified" list

If you sign up to hear when Debuggle opens, I store your email address, your role (teacher, parent, or school), and the date and time you signed up. That is all. It is kept in Cloudflare's storage for this site.

I use it for one thing: to email you when Debuggle is ready, plus a very small number of related updates. Every email will tell you how to get off the list. You can also email me at [email protected] any time, and I will delete your address.

The sign-up form is meant for adults. Please don't let children sign up. When the Debuggle app opens, students will join a class with a class code and a nickname, never with an email address.

Buying a resource

When you click a "Buy" button, you go to a checkout page run by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and email address to process the order and send your receipt, under Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe shares the order details with me (your name, email, what you bought, and the amount), and I use them only to deliver your files, answer questions, and keep the records the law requires for taxes.

To deliver your files and let you get them again later, the site keeps a small order record on Cloudflare: your email address, what you bought, the amount, and the date. That record is only used for your downloads and the "Lost your download?" page, which never shows order details to anyone. Download links are private to you and expire after a few days.

If you buy on Teachers Pay Teachers instead, TpT's own privacy policy applies.

Emails you send me

If you email me, I keep the conversation so I can help you. I don't add you to any mailing list because you wrote to me.

Your choices

You can ask me what I have about you, ask me to fix it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and I will take care of it, usually within a few days.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects the Debuggle list in a meaningful way, I will email the people on it first.
